The Producers Guild of America (PGA) invites fellows to join the PGA Creative lab for emerging and mid-career creative producers. The program’s focus is on supporting producers from underrepresented backgrounds. The program features creative producers and teams in active development, financing or packaging of a feature or series. The lab offers fellows the opportunity to hone their project pitches, attend master classes with experienced producers and build their network of fellow producers.

TruTV is partnering with the American Black Film Festival to find the next generation of distinct comedic voices to create repeatable comedic formats. Through the truTV Comedy Competition, outstanding content is chosen for a development project in partnership with truTV. The American Black Film Festival (“ABFF”) provides unprecedented access and exposure for emerging artists looking to showcase new and innovative ideas for television and film programming. TruTV is an American basic cable channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery. The TruTV Channel primarily broadcasts comedy, docusoaps and reality shows.

The American Black Film Festival (ABFF) showcases quality film and television content by and about people of African descent. Film submissions are open in four competitive categories: Narrative Features, Documentary Features, Web Series and the HBO® Short Film Competition.
